Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello Portal Peeps!  Gail here today with some inspiration for the Let's Fly challenge.  We hope you get some time to join the fun.  Anything that flies and real rubber or clear stamping of course.  I've used Lost Coast Designs lovely Kingfisher stamp.

I stamped the Kingfisher stamp on white card, watercoloured with distress inks and cut down and around the left hand side of the image.  I stamped my yellow base card with Lost Coast Designs Flagstone Background using yellow ink and stamped the Thinking of You sentiment on the mounted panel.

You have until 23.59 PST on the 31st to join the Let's Fly fun and don't forget to follow us so you don't miss anything!  The team will be posting more inspiration throughout the month so do pop over and see what they are doing.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Let's Fly: Butterfly Square

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Hello again from Laurie with another project for our month long "Let's Fly" challenge going on here on the Portal.  We hope you have been busy making your "flying" creations and sharing them here on the Portal.

For this card, I used the Ledger Background stamp from Lost Coast Designs and the Butterfly Square stamp from Carmen's Veranda.  Be sure to check out the large collection of square stamps at Carmen's Veranda - there are some really unusual and beautiful ones!

The background for this was created by piecing together one inch squares of a decorative background paper to create a mosaic collage.  I stamped this with black ink using the Ledger background stamp and edged it with black ink.  Using my sewing machine, I stitched around the perimeter with black thread.

The butterfly square was stamped onto a piece of a gel print I had on hand.   To stamp over paint, I used black Stayz On ink so it would dry completely.  I edged the square with black ink and positioned it as shown on the card front using foam tape.

Bird in the window

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Goodmorning all, Cathy here with a card for you today.

Stamps Used:

Today I started out with a clean-up sheet of cardstock. I had it left over from something I did, so I don't know what the green/blue colors are from.
I first stamped ATC Monia's window in scorched timber distress ink right in the middle.
Next, I stamped Mother Goose bird on a scrap piece of paper and cut out. I then glued it to the middle of the window.
Lastly, I stamped Daisy flourish with the same distress ink around the whole card. I then used the distress oxide of the same color to edge the card.

Keep Calm and Sparkle

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Welcome back for another project featuring our "Let's Fly" Challenge going on all month here on the Portal.

This one uses the Mona Flying stamp from Lost Coast Designs and the Keep Calm and Sparkle clear stamp from Carmen's Veranda.

The base for this is a portion of a gel print I had on hand using pink and blue acrylic paints and a flower stencil.  I then layered this with a white panel.  My flying Mona is stamped with black ink onto white paper and fussy cut out.  I then restamped Mona's "dress" onto some patterned paper, cut it out, and placed it atop the original stamped image.  I coloured her with some Copic Sketch Markers and glued her to the centre of my card front as shown.

The sentiment was stamped with black ink onto a white square outlined in black and affixed above Mona as seen below.

Looking forward to your "Flying" projects all during the month of March.  Who knows?  You might be the lucky winner of some free stamps!!

#183 Let's Fly - Not All Who Wander

Welcome back to Lost Coast Portal to Creativity where Lost Coast Designs and Carmen's Veranda collide to bring you twice the inspiration and double the fun!

Time for another fun challenge and this time I went a wee bit Steampunk...

I wanted this to like they were plans to build a set of wings so I started by stamping the Steampunk Fly Girl on a piece of grid pattern paper. I then stamped the Ledger background in brown ink specifically using the column of figures and the months on the opposite side of the card.  I stamped some text - Pieces of Calligraphy - in red and added some fingerprints and smudges here and there so it looked like these were well worn plans.  I finished the card off by stamping the Not all Who Wander sentiment in the corner.

I hope you join in on the Let's Fly theme this month.
